No worries I was just running around questing anyway. Was fun, almost makes me want ot buy an rpg again. Can you do much with the basic game or are you excluded from a bunch of stuff in the expansion packs? This is the second one they've done. I don't want to drop $150 on a game thats' been out for so long. Also do many of you quest and such or you do mostly pvp or what?

The first few weeks are always a big pve push to build up characters and unlocking skills, helping everyone with quests, etc.. After that it's meeting up for pvp to do halls or gvg. Activity in PIE has been light as of late. Lots of work, school and such. With nightfall it should pick up.

The games pretty much made so you can play the expansion classes and the core character classes fully from just owning one of the expansions. The only thing the other sets give you is access to that set's specific character classes and pve storyline.

Also each expansion has it's own unrelated storyline, so you're good getting any of the three.

Nightfall has really impressed me more than Factions. Nightfall will be a good place to start. Lots of gameplay and content for your money and no monthly fee.

I installed the D&D one week trial yesturday so I'm gonna be playing that this week if anyone else does let me know. It's prolly gonna be GW or D&D. I don't have time for the wow grind.

I'd also like to point out that you are significantly better off getting the expansion instead. Half the fun of GW is playing with others, and once NightFall comes out, you will be hard pressed to find a competent player to help you with the other two expansions for a while.

I had heard rumors that the D&D online game was DOA. But alas that is just hearsay.

I know another group that plays it sometimes and they like it and said there are continual add ons and expansions, just that it requires groups to do anything so for those casual players like myself it may be difficult. Lots of people playing it though
