This has got to be some kind of Cylon ploy...

Being a younger fogie...and an oxymoronic one, I never got into the original BSG. I watched the first episode and kind of tuned out. Is it worth viewing?

When I was a kid, we had to do our own special effects for the sci-fi TV shows we watched! :P

No, it wasn't good, but it was all there was, so we watched it anyways
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

It was awesome. Super awesome. Super duper radically awesome full of really fricking noble characters. And Starbuck.
God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players, to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.
