Warhammer40K Dawn of War open beta

Postby TheBishop » Mon Aug 09, 2004 1:08 pm

Been messing around with this open beta a bit. Seems to be fun but a little bug riddled at this point.

eldar too powerful? HA! They have good tanks, and can get them...they have a few broken things...only thing that needs to be fixed on them is the seer council...thats it. Orks being under powered end game!??!?! LIES!!!! Killa kans are the own! and you probably havent fought any decent ones...orks dont need end game. Watch an entire army of ork tank busters, ( 6 rockets and infultraitors) fully upgraded de cloak in your base!? you lose. I have been playing this game ALOT, and I play the board game as well. They did a very nice job on everything except nat translation ( lan shop issues with playing on line with the same ip's or something like that) and large multi player lag.

This has gone gold, apparently.
I don't think the demo is around anymore as a DL.

Perhaps we should try to get some comp copies from any Relic contacts we may have... I _am_ part of the media, being a radio host and all (FM this year -- booya!)

I have been playing this baby to death lately. Its an awsome game once you get over the steep learning curve (easy to grasp, hard to master).

Oh, and I´m not dead... just old.

MuHAhAHHAHH THREADROMANCY!

Anyone play this? I _just_ got it yesterday. Would be interested in co-op bot smash hilarity!
God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players, to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

I ownzer this game... but I lent it to a friend who decided to lend it to a different friend, who got a CD crack for it... Now I don't know where my game is, nor if it will even run anymore since someone cracked my CD...

But if someday, I do get it back I'll lay the smack down with you... though in my experience the game itslef is pretty easy to beat solo :P...
