NS <BAD> Clan for OldF

NS <BAD> Clan for OldF

Postby shentrax » Thu Jan 08, 2009 4:22 pm

Evening.
The other admins and I would like to show our appreciation and admiration for OldF on our NS servers, and would like to know if you guys would mind if we reserved your clan tag on all of our servers for use by only OldF members.

I know its not much, but we wanted to 'hat-tip' you fellas.

We are all curious as if this would be something wanted/liked?

I know no one speaks for me when saying hells yes. No matter the context.

We're still working on the mechanics of plugin to reserve your clan tag, We may need to verify some members.

Here are the stats for your clan-tag usage on our primary servers:
http://nsbadclan.org/stats1/index.php?q=%5Boldf%5D
http://nsbadclan.org/stats2/index.php?q=%5Boldf%5D

Just want to make sure all these Steam IDs /members are yours.

There have been cases of random people stealing our tag, and in one case a whole name (can't remember which server). And since the player was doing it to be an asshat at the time, it made me leave the server. Not that I like normal asshats at the best of times, but I certainly didn't want to be associated with that particular jerk. While I'm sure that none of us would ask for any other special treatment unearned just for being part of OldF, such a feature would be nice! I'll have to pop in one night!

All the names on those lists are Fogies, but like I mentioned before about name stealing, we'd have to verify steamid's. (A list that I'm sure we'd probably want to discuss internally before throwing it out into the public wilds, as I'm sure you can understand.)

Sure.

We will continute to wok on the plugin.

We may be able to work out a private list or upload that only your admins may be privy to; to add/remove ids from.

we'll continue to monitor this thread as well as Riotkitty frequents our servers and forums and could relay info as well

I rage way too much, nowadays. I do enjoy the BAD servers though, at least the Classic one. Haven't played NS in months... eh, since late April, methinks.

I usually use a .OldF tag ... but would be amendable to using the traditional [OldF] tag if this works out.

NS, the forbidden fruit. It beckons to me from afar, tempting me to come back and take just one more hit... just one more hit...

Yes. Darwin's unique street lingo means he never says hells yes, but only that he is "'bout it 'bout it."

Darwin just said, "AW HELL NO!"

Just to let you fellas know, I believe we may have a plugin ready, not sure how we wanted to handle the STEAM ids, though, wether to have everyone that played register on our fourms, add their STEAM id to their profile and add them to a reserved group. (can let one member be the group moderator and add/remove members)

Or to have a internal list of reserved IDs.

Either way would work.

Thanks guys.
