ns_achio could benefit from some fogey love

I've been watching the progress of this map for a long time, and it's finally being released as a completed version. Take a gander at it. Any of our server ops feel like loading it up and giving it a few whirls? I'd love you forever!

Yep you are correct, it was pushing the engine too hard and had a lot of other gameplay related problems as well. So I decided to rebuild it from scratch, it was simply to much work to fix it. That and most areas had to be rebuild as well...

The new revised version is called version2. Filename tag: _v2bx compared to the first version _v1b2.

Info about the revised version:

Current version: version2 beta4 (v2b4), I've had loads of information from the people over at G4B2S, mainly concerning gameplay and bug fixes.

Probably what sets this map apart from others is that it's currently the only map with interactive resnodes. The 2 button door still is present but it's much bigger and opens up an area to a true double res.

I was googling for "ns_achio" and came upon this thread. I then thought: "wait a minute, this isn't the revised version." In short:

ns_achio_v2b4 revised <-- screenshots and all the information/links you need are in the first post. At the moment it's ns3.1 compatible. It will be made compatible with 3.2 in the future (simply a renaming of the minimap files will suffice I think)

Note:
Sorry for thread ressurection, twas still on the first page though... But instead of creating a new thread, I thought setting the record straight would be nicer in here.

Oh, don't worry, we resurrect threads from time to time. Much better to bump a thread where discussion has gone before, imho. Wow, who would flame someone for bumping a relevant thread. The mapmaker no less? :S
God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players, to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

Ah yes, I've just had some bad experiences with other forums where bumping a thread was like declaring nuclear war on the community...

On another note: I find the thread title quite amusing :P

The new version looks pretty sweet. I'd play it, if it were on LS.

edit: really sweet
