My wife and I enjoyed fiddling with this. My problem is I actually own too many games that came in either indie bundles or packaged with other games that I don't really ever want to play. Wish there was a way to "pawn them back" to Steam's servers for some type of credit. I have found myself purchasing more and more controller enabled games for use out in the living room on the HTPC with my wife and friends who aren't PC Gamers. Steam Big Picture is actually pretty awesome.

I recently upgraded my PC to run NS2 and other newer games smoothly, and I just stuck my old parts in a HTPC case. I also picked up one of those Xbox 360 controller receivers, and already owned four controllers for my 360, so it actually wasn't too much effort to get it up and running. Between Steam Big Picture, XBMC, and emulator front-ends like Hyperspin, I plan to have a pretty kickin' rig in the front room.

Do they make something that makes the "360" controller compatible? I know they aren't normally compatible, you have to get the "windows" 360 controller. Or am I mistaken?

The wired controller plugs in via USB, and operates wonderfully. I believe the "windows" branded controllers are needed when you want a wireless connection.

Yes, the "Wired Xbox 360 Controllers" are completely compatible with PC. Just plug and play. However, to get the "Wireless Xbox 360 Controllers" to work on your PC, you have to purchase a small $20 USB adapter, which then allows you to pick up four wireless controllers on your PC.
